Mounties are investigating after a woman suffered an eye injury when she was struck by an unknown object at a Pitt Meadows bus stop. Ridge Meadows RCMP says it was called to the 12300 block of Harris Road on Feb. 13 around 1:30 p.m., for a report of a woman in medical distress. Officers arrived to find multiple people helping the woman, who was bleeding with an eye injury. Mounties say she was taken to hospital in stable condition. “Officers learned that the female had been waiting at the bus stop when she was allegedly struck in the eye by an object from an unknown source,” Ridge Meadows RCMP said in a statement Wednesday, announcing its investigation. The detachment is seeking the public’s help as it works to determine exactly how the woman was injured. “If you have more information about this incident, and have not already spoken to police, please contact Ridge Meadows RCMP at 604-465-2402 and quote file #2026-3066,” reads the statement. Mounties are also thanking the members of the public who helped the woman while she was in distress.
