Police in Surrey issued a public appeal for help identifying a man alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman on the street in broad daylight last week. Officers were called to the 10700 block of 146th Street at 12:15 p.m., according to a statement form the Surrey Police Service. “A female victim reported that she was sexually assaulted while walking,” the statement said. “The suspect allegedly approached the victim from behind and assaulted her. The victim was able to flee and run to safety.” No additional details about the alleged sexual assault were provided. Authorities released images of the suspect captured on CCTV, along with a request for information about his identity. He is described as Asian, approximately 30 years old and 5’3” tall.
