Homicide investigators in the B.C. Interior are expanding their appeal for information about the death of Dylan Godfrey as they try to establish a timeline of his final days. Godfrey was found deceased in the Paul Lake area northeast of Kamloops on April 25. Police discovered his body while investigating a stolen vehicle in the area. Three men were arrested for possession of stolen property and failing to comply with court orders in connection to the stolen vehicle investigation, but Mounties have not elaborated on the connection between the men, the vehicle and the remains. On Friday, the B.C. RCMP’s Southeast District Major Crime Unit shared a photo of the deceased and appealed for video evidence from the North Shore neighbourhood of Kamloops. Anyone with surveillance or dash cam video recorded on the North Shore between 5 a.m. on April 16 and 10 a.m. on April 22 should contact either the major crime unit or the Kamloops RCMP, police said. “As our investigators close in on a definitive understanding of how Mr. Godfrey was murdered and the events that transpired after, we strongly urge anyone with information or knowledge to contact our information line,” said Staff Sgt. Jason Smart, the officer in charge of the Southeast District Major Crime Unit. The unit’s information line can be reached at 1-877-987-8477.
