A pedestrian was struck and killed by a driver near Science World Thursday night, according to Vancouver police. The 38-year-old man was hit by a white Tesla at the intersection of Terminal Avenue and Western Street just before 8:30 p.m., the department said in a statement. “Despite life-saving attempts from first responders, the pedestrian died at the scene,” the Vancouver Police Department wrote. The driver remained at the scene, police said, adding speed and impairment are not considered factors in the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call the VPD’s collision unit at 604-717-3012.
