An Abbotsford police officer was injured in a hit-and-run crash in neighbouring Langley Friday night, according to local Mounties. The two-vehicle collision occurred around 7:20 p.m. in the 5200 block of 264 Street, Langley RCMP said in a news release. An on-duty Abbotsford Police Department officer was driving an unmarked vehicle in the area when the collision occurred, according to police. The other vehicle involved was a white GMC Canyon pickup truck with two occupants, police said. Both fled the scene on foot after the crash. “Officers from both the Langley RCMP and Abbotsford Police Department attended the collision to assist the officer who was injured,” the release reads, adding that the officer’s injuries were “minor.” “Police are still attempting to identify and locate the people involved in the crash to ensure their wellbeing.” Langley RCMP and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service are investigating the incident, according to police.
