A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a pickup truck in Maple Ridge over the weekend, according to police. Local RCMP say they were called to the intersection of Lougheed Highway and 287 Street around 8:45 p.m. Saturday, after a westbound black Harley Davidson collided with a grey Ford pickup truck. The motorcyclist, a 33-year-old man, died at the scene. The driver of the pickup was unhurt and a passenger was hospitalized with minor injuries, police said. The westbound lanes of Lougheed Highway were closed until Sunday morning. The Maple Ridge RCMP says its Serious Crime Unit is leading the investigation. “All possible contributing factors are being looked into and considered. The investigation is ongoing,” Mounties wrote in a statement Monday. Anyone with information is asked to call the Maple Ridge detachment at 604-463-6251.
