A 16-year-old girl who was reported missing was found dead in a home in Vancouver Tuesday, according to authorities. Officers were called to the residence near East Pender and Renfrew streets around 9 a.m., the Vancouver Police Department said in a statement. “The girl had been reported missing Monday night, and her disappearance was the subject of an investigation by North Vancouver RCMP,” the department’s statement said. “The cause of her death is currently unknown.” The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation and will work to determine how the girl died and if criminality was involved, police said.
