A man has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death in a 2024 crash that killed a couple in Metro Vancouver, according to authorities. The investigation began on Dec. 21, 2024, when officers were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Boundary Road, the Burnaby RCMP said in a statement Thursday, adding that reports suggested one vehicle had T-boned the other. “The collision resulted in the death of a Burnaby couple, a 67-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man,” the statement from the detachment said. The charges against Adam Jones-Veneziano were approved last month, according to police. “Fatal collision investigations take a toll on everyone involved,” Burnaby RCMP Insp. Amanda Harnett said, in the statement. “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victims as this investigation moves to the courts.” Jones-Veneziano is not in custody, and his first appearance on the dangerous driving charges is scheduled for Oct. 20, according to online court records.
