Mounties are hoping to return a “sizeable amount of cash” that was found in a residential area in B.C.’s Langley in January. According to a statement by Langley RCMP, the lost cash was found in the 7200 block of Springbrook Road Jan. 22. “We are hoping to reunite these funds with the rightful owner,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom. “We are asking the rightful owner to come forward and explain themselves in detail so that the monies can be returned to them.” Those looking to make a quick buck by making a phone call to police and guessing the total amount of cash are being urged to think otherwise. Making a false claim, the statement warmed, is a crime. The owner of the lost funds is asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file number 2025- 7527.
