The full schedule for the 2026 FIFA World Cup was released Saturday, revealing which teams will face each other in the 16 host cities across North America. Saturday’s announcement follows Friday’s hours-long spectacle in Washington, D.C., which determined the groups for the tournament. Canada will play against Qatar and Switzerland in a pair of games at B.C. Place stadium in Vancouver, on June 18 and June 24. The city will host seven games in all, including five group-stage matches and two knockout games in the tournament’s latter stages. Saturday’s announcement confirmed the other teams that will play group stage matches in Vancouver, beginning with Australia and the winner of a European playoff bracket that includes Turkiye, Romania, Slovakia and Kosovo on June 13. New Zealand will play two group stage matches in Vancouver, against Egypt on June 21 and against Belgium on June 26. Besides Qatar and Switzerland, the Canadian team will play the winner of a European playoff round featuring Italy, Northern Ireland, Wales and Bosnia and Herzegovina. A total of 48 teams will qualify for the tournament, with Canada, the United States and Mexico automatically earning spots in the competition as host nations.
