A man who was the subject of a Canada-wide warrant after failing to return to his halfway house has been arrested, Vancouver police say. Johnny Walkus, 37, was released from prison on Thursday and ordered to live at a halfway house in the city, according to police. He left shortly before 1:30 p.m. for a meeting with his parole officer, but didn’t show up. A public alert about the search for Walkus was issued Thursday evening. In an update around 8:45 a.m. Friday, the Vancouver Police Department said Walkus was found and arrested in the Downtown Eastside.
