One man is facing assault charges after a fight in the hallway of a Burnaby apartment building Saturday night, according to authorities. Officers with the Burnaby RCMP were called to a complex on the 7200 block of Kingsway around 10 p.m. for “a report of screams” and an altercation, a spokesperson said in an email. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, and has since been released. The other man – who was also injured – remains in custody and police will be recommending charges for “assault-related offences,” the statement form the detachment said. Police were on scene through the afternoon Sunday.
