One man has been arrested following a shooting in Maple Ridge on Tuesday that drew an extensive police response. Maple Ridge RCMP say the 44-year-old suspect, who is known to police, was taken into custody on Thursday without incident. Emergency responders were called to a report of shots fired outside a home near 216 Street and Lougheed Highway around 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Police say officers cleared the area, including surrounding properties, in response. A 32-year-old man was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound, where he remains in stable condition. Investigators confirm the shooting was the result of an altercation between the two men, who were known to each other, and not related to any gang or extortion activity.
