Mounties in Maple Ridge are asking residents in part of the city to stay indoors as police and conservation officers respond to reports of an aggressive bear Sunday. The Maple Ridge RCMP posted a brief statement to social media saying the bear is in the area of 240 Street and 123 Avenue. “Residents are encouraged to remain in their homes and to report sightings,” the statement from the detachment said, adding that sightings can be reported to either police or the B.C. Conservation Officer Service. This is a developing story. More to come.
