Homicide investigators have confirmed the incident that left two people dead inside an Abbotsford home Monday evening was “a murder-suicide involving intimate partner violence.” Abbotsford police were called to the scene in the 36000 block of McKee Road around 7:45 p.m. and found two deceased adults inside. Police initially described the incident as the result of a “violent dispute” and said there was no indication of any ongoing threat to the public. The Lower Mainland’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team took over the case, working with the Abbotsford Police Department and the B.C. Coroners Service. In an update Wednesday, IHIT said its investigation so far had shown the deaths to be “an isolated incident.” The deceased were an 80-year-old man and an 80-year-old woman who lived together at the home, IHIT said. “This was a tragic incident and a shock to the community,” said Sgt.
