Police in Victoria say 15 charges have been laid after an incident in a downtown parkade last weekend. Officers were called to the residential parking garage in the 1200 block of Yates Street around 4 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, “following reports of a person damaging vehicles with a hammer,” the Victoria Police Department said in a news release Friday. “The suspect was located nearby and arrested,” the release reads. Online court records identify the suspect as David Michael Inman, born in 1995. Inman is charged with 11 counts of mischief and one count each of breaking and entering with intent to commit an offence, theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property and breach of probation. “The suspect appeared at a bail hearing on Sunday, July 12, 2026, was remanded in custody, and is scheduled to appear in court again on July 21, 2026,” police said.
