Demetra Maragos

Demetra Maragos is a multi-skilled journalist who joined CTV News Vancouver in July 2025. Prior to this, she worked at NonStop Local KHQ in Spokane, Wash., where she covered national stories such as the 2022 University of Idaho murders and the Gray and Oregon Road wildfires. With a background covering legal affairs, policy shifts and consumer advocacy, Demetra is committed to reporting on complex stories that impact local communities – ranging from navigating health care and insurance systems to tackling legal challenges. Born and raised in Vancouver, Demetra holds a Bachelor of Arts from Toronto Metropolitan University, and a Master of Arts from New York University.
