Anna McMillan

Anna McMillan is an award-winning journalist from central Alberta. She works in a fast-paced daily news environment, but regularly carves out time for feature stories and investigative work. Anna is particularly keen on sharing stories driven by data and freedom of information requests. Her career highlights include an investigative series about corruption concerns in Victoria's police department; a deep dive into violence in B.C. classrooms; continuing coverage of misogyny in the medical system; an investigation about bullying and discrimination in Victoria's bylaw department; and beat reporting that led to revelations about B.C.'s evolving policing landscape. Shortly after moving to Victoria in 2021, Anna represented CTV News as a media rider in Tour de Rock. The 1,200 kilometre ride down Vancouver Island raises money for childhood cancer research and programs. Through that ride, Anna fell in love with cycling, her community, and the beautiful island she gets to call home. Anna worked in newsrooms in Edmonton and Saskatoon before moving to Victoria.
