An Arizona man has defied the odds, winning six $1 million-dollar prizes in a recent multistate lottery.

Call it strange, spooky or downright lucky. But a simple guess brought the unexpected windfall to this unnamed winner from Glendale, Arizona.

According to Arizona lottery spokeswoman Karen Bach, America's newest multi-millionaire claimed the six $1 million-dollar prizes after purchasing six Powerball tickets with the same winning numbers on April 25, 2012.

The tickets were good for a half dozen second-place prizes.

Though many people have used all kinds of formulas to win the lottery, this resident living just outside Phoenix played the numbers 4-25-29-34-43 PB 29 on a hunch.

The winner picked up his $6 million haul over the course of three visits to the Arizona Lottery's headquarters in Phoenix.

Since its inception, the Powerball lottery has created approximately 100 millionaires across America, with a total of 10 winners $1 million-dollar second-prize winners coming from Arizona.

Other winners include a couple from Fort Mohave and two Tucson residents.

The new $2 Powerball game offers better overall odds and jackpots that grow bigger and faster -- a definite attraction for both greenhorn players and lotto regulars.
