MONTREAL - Two people have died and three were injured in the crash of a small plane in northern Quebec.

Quebec Provincial Police say the Beaver aircraft crashed Saturday in a swamp two kilometres from the La Grande Riviere airport.

It's located near the community of Radisson not far from James Bay.

Police say the pilot and four passengers were aboard the plane.

The three people injured have been flown to a hospital in Montreal.

Police and the Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
