TORONTO — The Toronto Blue Jays added left-handed pitchers Joe Mantiply and Ricky Tiedemann as well as infielders Josh Smith and Sean Keys to its expanded September roster on Tuesday. All three were active for the Blue Jays’ game that night in Cleveland against the Guardians. Mantiply was reinstated from Toronto’s 60-day injured list having recovered from left knee inflammation. Smith came off the 10-day IL after missing time with left hamstring inflammation. Tiedemann and Keys were recalled from the Blue Jays’ triple-A affiliate in Buffalo, N.Y. In corresponding moves, outfielder Daz Cameron was designated for assignment and right-handed pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson cleared waivers but elected free agency. Toronto acquired Woods Richardson in a trade with the Minnesota Twins on June 3, sending cash considerations in return. This report by The Canadian Press was first published Sept. 1, 2026.
