Louis Foster posted the fastest practice lap at the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham. Foster put down a time of one minute 14.1793 seconds in the second training session of the day. Qualifying will be in the evening. Marcus Ericsson had the second-best time in 1:14.1933 and David Malukas was third, going around the Markham downtown road course in 1:14.1940. Organizers had to cancel the first day of track sessions because the course was not completed and had not undergone safety inspections. It’s the first year Markham has hosted the race after it moved from Toronto’s Exhibition Place, where it had been held since its inaugural running in 1986. Palou had the fastest time in the morning’s first practice session. He made it around in 1:14.9915.
