Realtor Roddie Saunders told CP24 that the online listing for a two-bedroom, one-bath bungalow at 117 Lucas St. that features porcelain dolls and colourful paintings in several of its 35 photographs has already been viewed more than 53,000 times. (Wylie Ford/photo)
“The placing of the dolls was my idea to create something fun, unique, and whimsical to see if it could attract people to see the home,” Saunders said, adding that the number of clicks it has had on realtor.ca are “exceptional in the current market.” (Wylie Ford/photo)
Saunders has gone as far as to name the property, which is listed at $899,000 and hit the market just 15 days ago, “The Artist’s Dollhouse.” (Wylie Ford/photo)
All of the dolls and paintings throughout the home were created by the property’s late owners, he noted. (Wylie Ford/photo)

Registered with the town of Richmond Hill as a heritage home, this single family house, located just three blocks from Mill Pond Park and sitting on a 50’ by 184’ deep lot, was built sometime between 1850 (as per the land registry) and 1873, as indicated on a historical plaque.
It also has some stained glass windows and trim work throughout. (Wylie Ford/photo)
Further, the home has an unfinished basement and a detached garage that's not designated as heritage on the property. (Wylie Ford/photo)
Saunders, of Bradford’s Century 21 Heritage Group Ltd., said the late owner’s sister is searching for a buyer who will have the “inspiration to restore this home to its former glory to make it their own.” (Wylie Ford/photo)
“It needs a lot of TLC to get there which it reflected in the price of the home. The ideal buyer would be someone who loves the fact it’s historic and would be willing to do the work to make it a nice family home,” he said. (Wylie Ford/photo)
