Sales of ultra-luxury homes in the Greater Toronto Area surged in the first half of 2025 and are up 200 per cent for the first half of this year compared to the same period last year, a recent report from Sotheby’s International Realty Canada found.
Sotheby’s defines ultra-luxury as properties with an asking price exceeding $10 million. Currently, there are just three other single-family homes for sale in Toronto that meet that criteria.
A dozen properties worth more than $10 million were sold in the GTA between January and June, seven of them in Toronto, compared to four sales in that category during the same period in 2024.
More sales of $10 million-plus properties are also taking place “off-market,” the Sotheby’s report noted.
