York Regional Police responded to two overnight shooting incidents that saw homes in both Aurora and Markham damaged. The first shooting occurred at around 1:45 a.m. in the area of Lee Avenue and Kennedy Road in Markham. Police said unknown suspects fired gunshots into a residence and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. A second shooting occurred near Wellington Street and MacDonald Drive in Aurora at around 3:40 a.m. Police said suspects fired at a home and parked car in the area. No injuries were reported. Police noted that they are investigating whether the two shootings are connected.
