Child who reportedly fell from balcony in Mississauga dies in hospital, police say

Police are investigating reports that the child may have fallen from a balcony in Mississauga.

Peel police say a four-year-old child has died after they reportedly fell from an apartment balcony in Mississauga earlier this week.

Police said they were called to the area of City Centre Drive and Duke of York Boulevard for a medical assist call at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

According to police, officers discovered a four-year-old child on the ground after reportedly falling from a balcony. Police said the child was taken to hospital but died from their injuries.

“As this remains an active and sensitive investigation, we are unable to release further details at this time,” police said in an email to CP24.

“We appreciate your patience and understanding as the investigation continues.”
