Police say a pedestrian suffered critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Hamilton on Monday evening. It happened near Barton Street East and Rosslyn Avenue North shortly after 5 p.m. Police said the driver of a Mazda CX-30 struck the male as he was attempting to cross the road. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with critical injuries. “Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken carriage of the investigation. Any potential witnesses to this collision are urged to come forward,” police said in a news release. “Investigators are also requesting any motorists in the area at the time of the collision to check their dash cameras and any residences or businesses in the area with surveillance cameras to review their camera footage.”
