Search for suspects underway following smash-and-grab robbery at Oakville Place

Police in Halton Region are searching for four suspects who are wanted in connection with a smash-and-grab at a local shopping centre on Wednesday.

The robbery happened at the Michael Hill Jewellery at Oakville Place, near Trafalgar Road and the Queen Elizabeth Way, at about 5:15 p.m.

In a follow-up news release, police said three suspects wearing masks and armed with hammers entered the mall.

“Once inside, the suspects smashed multiple display cases and stole a large quantity of jewelry,” they said.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators said the suspects were inside the store for roughly two minutes before fleeing. They were last seen leaving the shopping centre in a white vehicle of an unknown make and model.

The first suspect is described by police as a male with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a grey tracksuit, gloves, and a face mask.

The second suspect is a male with a slim build who was last seen wearing a black tracksuit, gloves, and a face mask, while the third is described as a male with a male with a heavier build. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and grey pants, along with gloves and a face mask, and carrying a duffle bag.
