The Maple Leafs pulled off a blockbuster trade one day before the start of the season, acquiring Kirill Marchenko from the Blue Jackets as part of a six-player deal that included Matthew Knies. Marchenko and the Leafs then agreed to a six-year, $75 million contract extension that pays him $12.75 million, according to his agent, Dan Milstein.
