2 men stabbed during attempted robbery after attending festival in Scarborough: police

Police are investigating after a man in his 20s was found with life-threatening injuries after a stabbing near Morningside and Finch. Courtney Heels reports.

Toronto police say they are searching for several suspects after two men were stabbed during an attempted robbery in Scarborough on Sunday night.

In a news release issued Monday, police said the two victims were attending a festival in the area of Finch Avenue East and Morningside Avenue when they were approached by a group of six or seven suspects.

“One of the suspects stabbed both victims with an edged weapon,” the news release reads.

One victim, an 18-year-old man, was transported to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

A second victim, identified as a 38-year-old man, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police added.

Investigators say the suspects were last seen running eastbound on Finch Avenue East.
