A male is fighting for his life in hospital, while a suspect is under arrest, following a stabbing in Etobicoke on Sunday afternoon. The incident happened in the Humber Heights-Westmount neighbourhood, in the area of Lockheed Boulevard and Westona Street, near Dixon and Scarlett roads. Toronto police said they were called to the scene just before 3:30 p.m. for reports of a male who had been stabbed. There, officers found a male with a stab wound. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, they said. Paramedics told CTV News Toronto that they transported one person to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition. A second male, whom police later identified as a 22-year-old man, was arrested on scene, Toronto police said, noting there is no risk to public safety. Investigators say there are no outstanding suspects.
