All eastbound collector lanes of Highway 401 have reopened in Mississauga following a transport truck fire, Ontario Provincial Police say. Collector lanes were shut down at Winston Churchill Boulevard shortly before 2 a.m., although express lanes remain open. In a social media post released at around 4 a.m., police said they expect the lanes to be closed “for several more hours” to “facilitate clean-up efforts.” No injuries were reported. “What a mess this morning,” CP24 Traffic Specialist Meital Sperling said on Friday. The lanes reopened shortly before 11:30 a.m.
