Two transported to hospital after TTC bus collides with building

Two people have been transported to hospital with minor injuries after a TTC bus crashed into a building in Toronto’s downtown core.

The incident occurred just before 10:20 a.m. on Peter Street, about halfway between Queen Street West and Richmond Street West.

The bus was travelling north on Peter Street when it struck a car and then a taxi cab, before colliding with a building, CP24 reported.

Witnesses say a driver and three passengers were the only people on the bus.

Cyclist David Clark told CP24 that he was nearly hit by the bus.

“I pretty much thought the bus was going to take me out,” he said.

Several TTC routes were already diverted due to construction at Spadina Avenue and Queen Street. Due to the accident, those buses will now be running on John Street instead of Peter.
