A 31-year-old Toronto man has been arrested and is facing numerous charges after a prohibited driving investigation led to the seizure of a gun, drugs and more than $180,000 in cash. In a news release, officials say the investigation began after the accused was observed operating a vehicle multiple times between March 9 and May 17, 2026, despite being prohibited from driving under the Criminal Code of Canada. As part of the investigation, officers say they executed two search warrants at a residence and a storage locker in the Jane Street and Finch Avenue West area. When they arrived, police say they seized fraudulent licence plates, a firearm, a quantity of illegal drugs, more than 170 rounds of .22-calibre ammunition, an extended magazine containing 31 rounds of 9 mm ammunition, a starter pistol, an expandable baton and more than $180,000 in Canadian currency. As a result, the suspect, who is identified as 31-year-old Sensombo Nop, of Toronto, was arrested on June 2. Nop was charged with the following: None of the charges have been tested in court but police say he was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on June 3.
