A Toronto firefighter is in the hospital after being injured while responding to a peeling roof downtown on Sunday afternoon. Toronto Fire Services (TFS) says crews were called to a home on Oxford Street, near Bathurst and College Streets, at 4:43 p.m. The firefighter suffered severe but non-life-threatening injuries, Toronto paramedics told CP24. The circumstances surrounding the incident are not immediately known. “Our thoughts are with our injured Firefighter, and we’re wishing them a full and speedy recovery,” TFS Chief Jim Jessop said in a post on social media.
