Toronto police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect who they say is wanted in connection with an arson investigation in the city’s west end. In a news release, officials say officers were called to the area of Dupont Street and Edwin Avenue at around 1:59 a.m. on Wednesday for reports of a fire. Police say a suspect “broke into a business,” poured an accelerant inside, and set the premises on fire before fleeing the area on foot. The suspect is described as having a slim build and was last seen wearing a black hooded shirt, black pants, a black baseball cap, black gloves, and black shoes. No further details have been provided at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
