A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after they were struck by a vehicle in Scarborough Monday morning. Toronto police said officers were called to the intersection of Pharmacy Avenue and Rosita Crescent, near St. Clair and Victoria Park avenues, just after 7:00 a.m. The pedestrian was rushed to hospital via emergency run. The driver remained at the scene. Police said that the northbound lanes of Pharmacy Avenue are closed for an investigation. Drivers are asked to use alternate routes.
