One person was seriously injured after two groups allegedly exchanged gunfire in North York late Friday night. Toronto police say they responded to reports of gunfire near Jane Street and Shoreham Drive at about 11 p.m. There, officers say they located a shooting victim who was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police say preliminary information suggests two groups were shooting “at each other” before the suspects fled the area on foot. Evidence of gunfire was also found in the surrounding area, police said The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
