Man, 59, seriously injured after two-vehicle crash; driver flees scene

Toronto police are searching for a driver after a hit-and-run crash that left a 59-year-old man seriously injured, Saturday night.

Officials say the incident happened in the area of McCowan Road just South of Ellesmere Road shortly before 12.a.m.

Police say it appears one of the vehicles went over a curb before colliding with another vehicle.

A 59-year-old man was transported to hospital as paramedics note the injuries are serious but non-life-threatening.

The driver believed to be responsible for the collision fled the scene before police arrived and remains outstanding.

The investigation is ongoing.
