Toronto police arrested and charged four people in connection with a firearm investigation in the early hours of Saturday. According to a news release, officers stopped a vehicle near Birchmount Road and Lawrence Avenue East area during patrol for suspected impaired driving, and located two loaded firearms and a quantity of drugs, leading to the arrests. Eric MacNeil, 30, of Toronto, was charged with 14 offences, including a count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. Alizin Townshend-Carter, 32, of Toronto, was also charged with 14 offences, including a count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. Christopher Gillmore, 27, of Toronto, was charged with 21 firearm- and drug-relatedoffences, including two counts of possession of Schedule II substances for the purpose of trafficking. Alison Pereira-Medeiros, 22, of Caledon, was charged with 14 offences, including two counts of possessing a loaded, regulated firearm.
