Toronto police are searching for a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a female inside Main Subway Station late last month. The incident happened on Sept. 30. Police say they responded to a call for a sexual assault there just after 3 p.m. that day. Investigators say a female exited the eastbound train and went to the mezzanine level of the station, when a man came up behind her and sexually assaulted her before fleeing the area on foot. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described by police as 20 to 30 years of age with a large build, short brown hair, a light beard, and a cross tattoo on left wrist. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark pants, glasses, and off-white Nike sneakers, and was carrying a white and black Air Jordan backpack. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with further information is asked to contact Toronto police at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
