Multiple homes in the city’s Wychwood neighbourhood were evacuated after police say a suspicious package was reported in the area. According to police, the package was found near Vaughan Road and Bathurst Street at around 8:35 a.m. The Expolsives Disposal Unit determined the package to be safe, police said in an update around 10 a.m. No injuries have been reported and it is unclear how many homes were evacuated. The hold and secure position on Humewood Community School has lifted, police said, and the roads that were closed have since reopened.
