Blaze at commercial building in Scarborough reportedly began as vehicle fire

Firefighters are at the scene of a fire at a commercial building in Scarborough after a vehicle fire reportedly spread to the building.

The fire broke out at a building near Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue East shortly before 2:30 a.m.

The flames have since been knocked down but crews, along with police and Enbridge, remain on scene.

Three people were assessed at the scene for injuries, including a firefighter, and all three refused to be transported to hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
