Additional charge laid against man arrested in sexual assault investigation

An additional charge is being laid against a man who was arrested earlier this year on one count of sexual assault.

Toronto police say that on July 25, a victim went to a massage clinic in the Lake Shore Boulevard West and Thirty Third Street area of Etobicoke. It is alleged that while receiving a massage, the victim was sexually assaulted. On July 30, David Ludwig, 66, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with sexual assault.

Police said in a release on Saturday night that the suspect was arrested and charged with sexual assault in connection with a separate alleged incident dating back to 2018. In that case, the victim alleges that they went to a massage clinic in the area of Lake Shore Boulevard West and Thirtieth Street and was sexually assaulted while receiving a massage. The charges have not been tested in court.

Police say they are concerned there may be more victims.

Ludwig is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 11.
