Four pedestrians have been struck by a vehicle in downtown Toronto, police say. According to Toronto police, the collision occurred near Gerrard Street East and Church Street shortly after 5:30 p.m. One pedestrian has been taken to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries, police say. They add that the other three pedestrians sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. The circumstances that led to the collision are not immediately known. Several roads in the area were closed for the investigation.
