One person was rushed to a local hospital in life-threatening condition after being pulled from the Don River in North York on Thursday morning, Toronto paramedics say. The incident happened in the Flemingdon Park neighbourhood, near Eglinton Avenue East and Leslie Street. Toronto Fire Service say they were called to that area at 7:45 a.m. for reports of a person in the water. That individual was removed and first-aid measures were provided to them, they said. Police also attended the scene at that time for an unknown trouble call - person in the water. It is not known why the individual was in the river.
