Phil Hahn
Senior Producer, AI Strategy and Transformation, CTV News
Phil Hahn oversees the strategic integration of artificial intelligence across CTV News, a role he assumed in late 2025. He was previously Special Projects Producer, a role in which he specialized in data visualizations and news interactives.
Based in Toronto, Phil also serves as editor-in-chief for CTVNews.ca's federal election coverage and is the lead editor for political opinions and analysis. During his tenure at CTV News, he headed the COVID-19 desk during the pandemic and has also worked in broadcast on the CTV National News assignment desk.
He is an RTDNA award winner and a Canadian Online Publishing Awards gold medal winner for Best Interactive / Infographic Story and for his interactive on the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.
Phil holds a bachelor's degree from Queen's University and an advanced diploma in journalism from Humber Polytechnic. He currently sits on the board of Humber's Journalism Program Advisory Committee.
He speaks English and conversational Japanese.
