CARSON, Calif. -- New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal will make his coaching debut in the club's exhibition game against the Los Angeles Galaxy on July 23 at the Rose Bowl.

Van Gaal won't be the only Man U newcomer making the club's U.S. trip that begins July 18. New additions Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw will also be part of the travelling squad as they look to make their debut for the English Premier League team.

Among United's World Cup players joining the club for the duration of the tour are Wayne Rooney, David De Gea, Shinji Kagawa and Juan Mata. The complete travel roster will be announced later.

After the opening match against the Galaxy in Pasadena, California, Man U will play AS Roma in Denver on July 26, Inter Milan in Washington, D.C., on July 29 and Real Madrid in Michigan on Aug. 2. If United qualifies for the final of the Chevrolet FC Cup, it will wrap up with the title game in Miami on Aug. 4.
