OTTAWA - Northern Ontario's Brad Jacobs capped a perfect round-robin with a 4-1 win over Brad Gushue of Newfoundland and Labrador at the Tim Hortons Brier.

Jacobs used hammer in the 10th end to score a deuce and improve to 11-0. Gushue, who fell to 9-2, could have earned the top seed in the Page Playoff 1-2 game with a victory.

Instead, Jacobs will have choice of rocks and hammer when the teams meet again Friday night at TD Place. The winner of the 1-2 game will advance to Sunday's final.

Alberta's Kevin Koe and Manitoba's Mike McEwen will play in the 3-4 game on Saturday. The winner will play the loser of the 1-2 game in the semifinal for the other berth in the gold-medal game.

In the other Draw 17 games, McEwen topped Prince Edward Island's Adam Casey 8-3, Jamie Koe of the Northwest Territories held off Quebec's Jean-Michel Menard 8-6 and B.C.'s Jim Cotter beat New Brunswick's Mike Kennedy 7-5.

Koe and McEwen finished with 8-3 records. Koe is seeded third since he beat McEwen in their head-to-head round-robin matchup.
