OTTAWA - The mother of a soldier who committee suicide returns to the stand today at a military hearing.

The Military Police Complaints Commission is looking into how the military handled the death of Corporal Stuart Langridge.

The veteran of wars in Bosnia and Afghanistan killed himself in 2008 and his family has accused the military of being biased against him when it investigated his death.

Sheila Fynes earlier told the hearing that Langridge had been a happy-go-lucky boy who changed completely after going to war.

She testified that he struggled with drug and alcohol addiction, and in their last phone call, she had never heard him sound so depressed.

Her testimony comes as the issue of mental health in the military is in the spotlight because of concerns federal budget cuts are eliminating important resources.
